Our Purpose
Why We Are Here
The Jerusalem Post ®, in its headlines, in its news articles and in its opinion pieces is constantly fighting against Am Yisroel, Erets Yisroel and Elokei Yisroel (The Jewish People, The Land of Israel and the G-d of Israel).
The purpose of this web site is to respond to these slantings in the Jerusalem Post and to present the Jewish point of view.
We will also discuss other important topics in the news from a Jewish perspective.
Age of marriage - Age of Consent
On November 16, 2007, the Jerusalem Post published an article by Dan Izenberg titled "You're 17? Wait until you're 18!" which discusses a bill a bill introduced in Kenesset to raise the legal marriage age to 18. Since the bill only restricts marriage and does not raise the age at which a person may consent to have sex (which in general in Israel is 16, but if the ages of the two are within 3 years of each other it is only 14), and from the words of the supporters of the bill, this bill is clearly an attack on morality and responsibility.
For a Jewish response, see Age of Marriage.
The Minority's Army - So Called Draft Dodging - Excuse For Hareidi Bashing
In the November 13 Jerusalem Post, Amnon Rubinsteins bemoans the fact that the percentage of Jewish men who do not serve in the army (in Israel) has risen from 11.2 percent in 1991 to 27.7 percent in 2007. (See original story.) He attributes this largely to the rise in the Hareidi population. He ignores the deligitimization of Israel's right to exist by the left as a major cause of the rise in nonreligious youth not wishing to serve in the army. Oncwe again the JP has a chance to bash the jews.

District Representation
Knesset Panel To Debate District Representation Plan (From Arutz 7)
(IsraelNN.com) The Knesset Constitution Committee will discuss changing the Knesset electoral system from direct voting to a mixed system including proportional representation, committee chairman Menachem Ben Sasson (Kadima) said. The hearings will start after the suggested government reforms pass first reading in the Knesset.
